The head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov presented the investment and export potential of the region to the Italian business community and the governor of the Italian region of Piedmont Alberto Chirio on September 30th. The conference was conducted online. It was reported by the press office of the head and government of the republic.
The conference was held jointly with the Italian-Russian chamber of commerce.
The presentation was attended by representatives of the authorities of the Piedmont region and Italian companies.
Alexander Brechalov said that at the end of 2019, the GRP of Udmurtia amounted to 8.9 billion euros, and the volume of goods shipped in the manufacturing industry was 5.3 billion euros.
The region has highly competitive industries with good export potential, there are two priority development areas with tax preferences for residents, and industrial parks are operating and being built. We work closely with federal support institutions, thanks to which over the past three years the enterprises of Udmurtia have received more than 2.5 billion rubles. This is the result of painstaking work to create a favorable investment climate
He noted that the enterprises of the republic are successfully operating at large world trading floors. Currently 86 companies are represented on udm.market.
A medical center from Angola reached out to the Udmurt manufacturers of medical equipment and personal protective equipment, a food store from Sweden purchased a trial batch of confectionery through udm.market
As part of the event, four companies from Udmurtia presented their products to Italian partners.
