The first children's choreography academy of the UNESCO Moscow section was opened on the basis of the modern and pop dance ensemble “Atlantida” in Izhevsk on June 23. In total, 30 such institutions will be created in the country. The press office of the capital of Udmurtia informs about it.
The dance group “Atlantida” presented Udmurtia to official delegations from 25 countries in Moscow last spring. After that, this ensemble was chosen as the first site for the opening of the children's academy of choreography.
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-President of the Moscow Representative Office of the International Dance Council Elena Yakovleva and a group of artistic production staff of CID UNESKO led by Honored Artist of Russia Kirill Ermolenko. The head of “Atlantida” Yulia Vasilyeva was presented with documents at the event, according to which the ensemble acts as the official representative of the academy.
