A new book about the Udmurt joker Lopsho Pedun was published in Russian in the capital of the republic. The page of the publishing house «Udmurtia» on the social network «VKontakte» informs about it.
Fresh edition, unlike previous works, was published in a hard cover and with a new design. Also, the reader will notice the modern design of texts and colorful drawings by illustrator Mikhail Vakhrin. The main character of the piece, Lopsho Pedun, will become a participant in new interesting stories.
InformationPedun is a diminutive form of the name Pedor (Fedor). Lopsho means «joker», «merry fellow». It is believed that Fyodor Chirkov, a resident of the village of Levaya Kushya of the Igrinsky district of Udmurtia, born in 1875, is a historical prototype of Lopsho Pedunya.
