The Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov and the head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov discussed the issue of building schools in the republic as part of a business meeting in Moscow on January 20. It was reported by the press soffervice of the head and government of the region.
Also, the discussion was attended by the deputy of the State Duma of Russia from Udmurtia Andrey Isaev, the deputy minister of education Andrey Nikolaev and the minister of education and science of the republic Svetlana Bolotnikova.
The participants discussed the strategy for creating places in general educational institutions of the region, options for obtaining subsidies from the federal budget for these purposes, as well as the possibilities of a digital platform as a source of additional knowledge for schoolchildren to the traditional education system.
Separately, the Minister of Education noted that the introduction of digital learning opportunities in the territory of Udmurtia wouldn’t replace traditional education.
The head of the region Alexander Brechalov said that the republic was actively building educational institutions, but the problem of exceeding the design capacity of existing schools still exists. This figure is 37,497 places, of which 27,249 people in towns and 10,248 people in villages.
It is required to build about 30 schools to solve this problem
Sergei Kravtsov noticed that Udmurtia was one of the leaders in the construction of social facilities.
We have already built constructive work on these issues and in the future we will make an effort to build modern schools in the region
Alexander Brechalov invited the Minister of Education to visit Udmurtia at the end of the meeting.
