An open coworking space will be created on the territory of school No. 63 in Izhevsk following the results of participation in the project “Initiative Budgeting”. The press office of the Izhevsk administration reports that the idea of creating an open space, accessible not only to schoolchildren, but also to residents of the entire microdistrict, was proposed by residents of house No. 17 on the Maiskaya st.
Previously, we could only dream of such a room. The dining room was the only suitable venue for events. But it had to be prepared in advance with equipment and tables. Now everything will be installed permanently and will be available at any time
The new space will appear on the site of the former workshop. Preparatory work for painting the walls has already been carried out here. In the near future, the electrical wiring and lighting, flooring will be updated, new doors and chairs for 50 seats will be installed.
Visually, the space will be divided into two zones – the stage and the hall. The coworking space will be for school meetings, chess competitions, creative events, meetings of residents of nearby houses.
The total cost of the project was 290 thousand rubles. These funds were used not only to renovate the premises, but also to purchase microphones, speakers, a projector and a multimedia screen.
