The fourth-year student at Glazov Polytechnic College Daria Yakimova won a silver medal in the finals of the VIII National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia). It was reported by the press office of the head and government of Udmurtia.
The girl became the winner in the competence “Management documentation and archival science”.
Competitions in this discipline at the regional stage were held for the first time in 2020.
In addition to her studies, Daria works out; she is a member of the college volleyball team and a volunteer squad.
Recall that the final of the national championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) was held in all regions of the country from 6th to 21st of September. This year participants competed in a distance-in-person format at the sites of regional open source software for the first time.
Udmurtia was represented by 34 participants in 22 competencies, including five junior ones.
The main goal of the championship is professional orientation.
The republic received more than 152 million rubles to equip five new sites in accordance with WorldSkills requirements, 10% of the funds were allocated from the regional budget in 2020, according to the national project “Education”, initiated by President Vladimir Putin.
