Actor of theater and cinema, teacher of stage speech at the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A. I. Herzen in St. Petersburg Vladimir Maslakov held a workshop for the participants of the festival “Theatrical Volga Region”. A correspondent of the news agency “Udmurtia” attended the event which was held at the Republican House of Folk Art in Izhevsk.

Vladimir Maslakov taught young artists from Udmurtia the basics of stage speech at his classes. He paid special attention to phonetics, correct breathing and voice formulation.
Vladimir Maslakov was born on April 30, 1970 in Leningrad.
In 1993 he graduated from LGITMiK, course of A. D. Andreev and Yu. A. Vasiliev. He has been working at the St. Petersburg State Youth Theater on the Fontanka since 1994.
Has played in over 170 films and TV series. He is a dubbing actor – he has voiced the heroes of such films as “Ghost Rider” (16+), “Pearl Harbor” (12+), “Spider-Man” (12+).
In 2007 he won the Grand Prix of the first festival of acting improvisations “Cry of the Soul” (one-man show “Wolves” (12+) based on a story by Vasily Shukshin).
He made his directorial debut in 2009 staging the play “Forget Herostratus!” (16+, artistic director of the production – Semyon Spivak).
Vladimir Maslakov published a book of poems of his own composition. He has recorded a disc with his poems, four discs of the author's song, a disc “Poems of Joseph Brodsky” (16+), two discs of stories by Vasily Shukshin (12+).
