The construction of a Cultural Center has begun in the village of Kamennoye, Grakhovsky District, which is planned to be completed until August 2021. There is the construction as a part of the national project “Culture” initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The press office of the head and government of the republic reports that the institution will have an auditorium for 100 seats.
The building of the old Cultural Center was built in the village of Kamennoe with an area of 180 sq. m with a 100-seat auditorium and two circle rooms in 1957, annually held up to 150 events for young people and older people. In 2013, a special commission recognized it as emergency, and then the institution was closed.
The village residents have been waiting for this event for a long time. They wrote letters to various authorities several times, as well as to the head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov.
The village of Kamennoye is located on the territory of the municipal formation “Kamenskoye”, it is 5 km from the village of Grahovo. More than 400 people live in the village; many of them are young people.
