The festival was held at the plant “Izhstal” (part of the Group “Mechel”), on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day to celebrate the 75th anniversary of victory in Great Patriotic War.
It was attended by employees of plant divisions and separate enterprises of the Group “Mechel” in Izhevsk, and veterans of the enterprise.
Songs of the war years were sounded from the stage, many of which, without exaggeration, can be called folk on this day. The auditorium stood still the sounds of “Ogon’ka”, “Zhuravley”, “U neznakomogo poselka”, “Aleshenka”. And he energetically sang along with the fervent Katyusha, Smuglyanka, and Cloud in Blue. Everyone was won by the performance of the controller in the production of ferrous metals Svetlana Megrabyan with her daughter Alisa; they performed the song “Mama, zhdi”.
A pleasant surprise was the family appearance of the chairman of the trade union organization “Izhstal” Yuri Tyurin and his wife Ekaterina. The professionally performed song “My dolgoe eho drug druga” was filled with lyricism and genuine warmth of feelings. Another surprise was a speech by Natalya Petrova, the Director of the Human Resources Department, who spoke about her father, a front-line pilot, and sang “Za togo parnya” piercingly.
Employees in the pre-production workshop presented a staging of an excerpt from the legendary poem by Alexander Twardowsky “Vasily Terkin”. Musa Jalil’s poem “Varvarstvo” performed by the team leader of the foundry, Maria Poptsova, was not indifferent.
All appearances were accompanied by a newsreel of the war years. The dance appearances were performed by the artists of the dance studio “Vertical”.
All participants of the festival were awarded with commemorative diplomas and monetary certificates.
