Biologists have discovered a giant black poplar in Udmurtia. This was announced by local historian-biologist Alexander Kondratyev on his “Facebook” page.
It seems that we found in Udmurtia the largest black poplar in Europe, and even the whole world!
The tree will be examined by specialists from the Udmurt Botanical Garden and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Udmurtia in the near future then official data will be published.
Now Alexander Kondratyev travels around the republic, opens unique trees, performs the necessary measurements for entering into the register.
