Juniper was included in the register of “Amazing trees of Russia”. It is growing close to Vavozh in Udmurtia. The chairman of the government of the republic Yaroslav Semenov announced it in social media.
A total of 16 trees have already entered the register. Among them there are spruces, oaks, pines, birches.
The tree was added to the list quite recently. It was examined by biologist and ethnographer Alexander Kondratyev and an active participant in the quest “DaUR!”. Usually trees of this species grow as shrubs, but not a Vavozh specimen
The age of the tree is about 300-400 years, the girth of the tree trunk is 1.5 m, the height is 7.7 m, the diameter is 0.48 m, and the radius is 0.24 m.
