Athletes from Udmurtia won prizes at the All-Russian biathlon competitions in the Yaroslavl region. It was reported by the press office of the head and government of the region.
More than 200 biathletes from 20 regions of Russia are fighting for the right to be included in the country's junior national team for the World Championship from 20 to 31 January.
Biathlete from Mozhga Ilona Znakova won the gold medal. The athlete completed the individual 12.5 km race with four firing lines with one penalty in 43 minutes 40 seconds. A full-fledged competition program will be held: sprint, classic time trial, mass start, mixed and classical relay, single relay.
Arina Perevozchikova won the third place in the 5 km freestyle race at the competition in Tatarstan in the Championship of the Volga Federal District in cross-country skiing, and Viktor Ivanov took the second place.
After these competitions, the participants will be able to get to the All-Russian competition in cross-country skiing in the senior youth age category. They will be held from 9 to 14 March in Syktyvkar.
