Paralympian from Udmurtia Vladislav Lekomtsev became the winner of the World Cup in cross-country skiing in the overall standings among persons with impairment of the musculoskeletal system. It was reported by the press office of the Center for Sports Training of the Republic.
Vladislav won with a result of 17 in the final race of the competition at a short distance of 7.5 km on March 23. Rushan Minnegulov finished the second (17: 44.6), and Vitaly Malyshev became the third (18: 11.9).
A native of Udmurtia won all races in the World Cup and scored the maximum amount of points – 700.
Rushan Minnegulov took the second place (500 points), Ivan Kodlozerov completed the top three (320 points).
The final biathlon competitions will be held on March 25 and 26. Vladislav Lekomtsev also occupies a leading position in the overall standings of the World Cup according to the results of the first stage.
The athlete's personal trainer is the three-time Olympic medalist Maxim Vylegzhanin.
