The hockey club “Izhstal” (HC) from Izhevsk beat the Gornyak HC in Uchaly in the last match of the season. The press office of the Izhevsk club reported it.
The match was held on February 18 and ended with a score of 3: 2 in favor of the “steelworkers” (in the shootouts).

The owners of the ice scored the first goal at the beginning of the game. Five Izhevsk players counterattacked in the fourth minute. However, the opponent held the puck and managed to send it towards the goal. There were two “Gornyak” hockey players. “Steelworker” Denis Kostin repelled the first throw; the second did not have time.
Maxim Mizyurin scored a goal against the opponent in the eighth minute.
Players from the city Uchaly again pulled ahead thanks to a delayed penalty - Roman Ivashov scored in the end of the attack at the beginning of the second period.
Maxim Mizyurin sent the puck into the Pit zone at the 54th minute, distracted several opponents and made a pass to the blue line.
Alexander Kozyrev threw the puck towards the goal, and Anton Kovalev sent it to the goal. The score leveled up – 2: 2
Denis Kostin’s confident play as well as the accurate throws by Anton Kochurov and Alexander Yaremchuk brought Izhstal a victory in the series of shoot-outs.
“Izhstal” has finished 12th in Conference 2.
